$18.50 / hour Job Description Packaging Technician This is a full-time, hourly level position.

Position Summary:

The Packaging Technician performs all tasks related set up, operation, and maintaining packaging machinery. The position follows SOPs and practices safe work habits to ensure operations are as safe and efficient as possible. ­

Job Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently work with and adjust machines Troubleshoot of Packaging machinery Follow food safety practices and cleaning Housekeeping duties Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely Job Requirements Actively participate in all required Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, and Performance Excellence programs Must be able to speak English Good Communication skills Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the operations Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Assist in maintaining the housekeeping program (cleaning), including required written documentation Assist in light maintenance which may include using ladders, hand tools, and power tools. Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays Good attendance record Bring a positive attitude to work each day Physical Requirements Standing for prolonged periods of time Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs
