Job Description

The West Hartford office of SNI Companies is hiring 1st shift Assembly Operator for a manufacturing client in Milford, CT. This role involves handling materials, using hand tools, power tools, assembly equipment, and machinery, and performing quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications. The Assembly Operator works closely with team members and supervisors to maintain an efficient, accurate, and safe production process.

Monday-Friday 1 st shift 7AM-3:30

PM Responsibilities:

Perform assembly operations following work instructions, production schedules, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Use hand tools, power tools, machinery, and assembly equipment to build products accurately. Inspect parts, components, and finished assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Monitor the assembly process and report issues, or equipment concerns. Maintain a clean work area while following 5S and Lean principles. Follow production schedules and meet assigned quotas while maintaining accuracy and quality. Assist with troubleshooting minor assembly issues and making necessary adjustments. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.

Requirements:

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Manual dexterity and visual acuity are needed to assemble and inspect parts and components. Ability to safely use tools, equipment, and machinery as required. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials consistent with site safety requirements.

Willingness to follow all safety, housekeeping, 5S, Lean, and quality procedures.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred. Experience using hand tools, power tools, or assembly equipment is a plus. Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned shift consistently. Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and basic production documentation. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors. #SN
