You will be responsible for the configuration, operation, and upkeep of metal slitting machinery to manufacture premium steel, aluminum, and stainless steel coils that align with client requirements. Please note that you must be available for initial training on the first shift, with the capacity to transition to the second shift as needed. Core Responsibilities Configure and run metal slitting machinery in alignment with established production schedules and work orders. Ensure precise material processing by threading lines and calibrating knives, spacers, guides, and tension controls. Oversee machine functionality to help optimize production efficiency and maintain high output standards. Verify finished coils for surface integrity, camber, burrs, edge quality, and dimensional accuracy. Execute coil changeovers while ensuring all final products are correctly labeled and packaged for shipment. Document essential production metrics, including downtime, scrap rates, and quality control findings. Carry out regular lubrication, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks on all equipment. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to LOTO protocols and PPE standards. Keep the workspace tidy and orderly while contributing to ongoing operational improvement efforts. Collaborate effectively with the shipping, maintenance, quality, and production departments to ensure customer needs are met. Required Qualifications Completion of a GED or high school diploma is preferred. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience with metal slitting lines or comparable industrial machinery is preferred. Proficiency in interpreting production specifications, blueprints, and work orders. Demonstrated ability to utilize precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. Strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities and technical aptitude. Physical capacity to handle weights up to 50 pounds and perform tasks within a demanding manufacturing setting. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.
Shift Schedule First shift:
6:00 AM to 2:15 PM Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday.
Second shift:
