Responsibilities Operate and monitor commercial freezers and refrigeration units to maintain optimal temperature controls for frozen food products. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify mechanical issues or malfunctions, troubleshooting problems promptly to prevent production delays. Follow strict sanitation procedures aligned with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety standards to ensure a clean and compliant work environment. Handle materials manually and with material handling equipment such as forklifts, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and proper PPE use. Support food processing activities by assisting in food preparation, baking, or other related tasks as needed within the manufacturing environment. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, safety checks, and equipment maintenance in accordance with regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to food safety, manufacturing procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications Prior experience in food production, manufacturing, or kitchen environments is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively. Familiarity with machine operation including freezers, ovens, or other food processing equipment. Knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP principles, GMP standards, and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills for measurements, inventory tracking, and quality control documentation. Valid certification for forklift operation is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
