Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Technician-3 is responsible for implementation of continuous improvement ideas on the shop floor. The team member will organize, plan, and lead continuous improvement teams. The team member be responsible for training, teaching and implementing lean principles.

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS

All base level requirements must be met within two years upon position acceptance. To reach a progression level you must demonstrate technical skills, leadership skills, and pass classes / certifications as identified by the progression review committee.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

: Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures Regular/dependable attendance required Flexibility of work hours including overtime, off-shift and off-site travel Able to work with and around moving equipment/machines Identify, develop and implement plant improvement projects Plan, lead, implement and follow-up of plant events Conduct CI training and orientation Communicate and work effectively with production personnel, management, engineering and outside vendors Develop and maintain standard work documentation

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to rotate to other positions as needed Assist managers and engineers in implementing the Global Production Systems Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Manufacturing related experience is preferred Previous continous improvement experience preferred

• Excellent written and oral communication Proficient knowledge of computers: Microsoft Office Suite High degree of creativity, visualization ability and insight Flexibility to travel Read and interpret blueprints Presentation/training skills Proficient mechanical and math aptitude Decision making/problem solving skills Time management
