We manufacture custom awnings, canopies, shade structures, covers, and other outdoor fabric products for residential and commercial projects throughout South Florida. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing and/or fabric cutting experience preferred Experience with awning fabrication, marine canvas, upholstery, tents, shade sails, covers, or similar industrial sewing Skilled in measuring, laying out, marking, cutting, fitting, and sewing heavy-duty fabrics Experience working with vinyl, canvas, mesh, acrylic and other outdoor fabrics Comfortable operating industrial sewing machines and related fabrication equipment Ability to accurately read and work from measurements, patterns, templates, sketches, and shop drawings Understanding of seams, hems, reinforcement, binding, pockets, zippers, Velcro, and other fabric finishing techniques Ability to properly calculate and lay out material to minimize waste and maximize fabric usage Must produce clean, straight, accurate, professional-quality finished work Must be self-motivated, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team Responsibilities Measure, lay out, mark, cut, sew, and assemble heavy-duty outdoor fabrics according to project specifications and measurements. Operate industrial sewing equipment to manufacture custom awnings, canopies, shade products, covers, and other specialty fabric products . Interpret measurements, patterns, templates, and shop drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and proper fit. Collaborate with other team members to coordinate fabric fabrication with frames and other components of each project. Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, appearance, and proper fit before installation or delivery. Maintain a clean and safe work environment , follow all safety procedures, and properly operate and maintain sewing and cutting equipment.
