Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a proficient Machine Operator who possesses a solid history in heavy industrial manufacturing and large-scale steel production. This role is perfectly suited for a professional who excels at managing heavy steel components, running high-capacity production machinery, interpreting technical cut sheets, ensuring material tracking, and resolving mechanical malfunctions. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while prioritizing safety, output quality, and precise material management. We invite individuals with a background in structural steel, fabrication, CNC systems, robotics, or similar heavy industrial settings to join our team. Primary Duties Manage the operation of massive industrial equipment designed for steel processing and manufacturing. Run various machines on your own with little to no oversight. Interpret and apply details from cut sheets, production orders, and material specifications to ensure project success. Help maintain the integrity of material identification and traceability during every stage of production. Safely manage the loading, alignment, and movement of heavy steel components to improve workflow efficiency. Conduct standard equipment calibrations and address minor mechanical errors. Keep a close watch on machine performance to catch potential hazards or quality defects early. Collaborate effectively with welders, fitters, supervisors, and other shop floor staff. Keep precise logs of all production activities and material usage. Verify that all completed parts meet strict quality and accuracy standards. Adhere to all organizational safety protocols and OSHA regulations to foster a secure environment for the entire team. Keep your workstation tidy and orderly to support operational flow. Provide guidance and support to junior operators and assistants to help build team capability. Equipment & Experience The perfect candidate will demonstrate practical experience in the operation of heavy-duty steel fabrication or manufacturing machinery. We are particularly interested in applicants with exposure to the following: CNC systems Large-scale steel processing tools Robotic production hardware Steel cutting and fabrication machinery Plasma or oxy-fuel cutting systems Drilling or beam processing units Sawing systems Plate processing hardware Material handling systems Overhead crane operation Forklift operation Automated or semi-automated production lines Having a background in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment programming is considered a significant advantage. Advanced Machine Operator Individuals who show the ability to manage multiple machines independently and possess high-level technical skills may be eligible for our advanced operator classification. To qualify for this level, you should have experience in the following areas: Independently managing diverse equipment such as punch presses, roll tables, CNC units, and burn tables. Interpreting complex cut sheets and production documentation to ensure accuracy. Managing material identification and tracking protocols. Utilizing CNC systems and/or programming software. Operating robotic manufacturing technology. Performing advanced mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Handling heavy steel materials with precision and care. Maintaining high production standards and efficiency with minimal supervision. Current Pay Range for

$21-$26/hour You are expected to be skilled in the following areas: Heavy Material Handling Metal Stamping & Forming (Progressive Die) Blueprint Reading
