Flexible Packaging Laminator / Slitter Operator C&D Printing and Packaging Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Machine operation Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Mechanical knowledge Equipment adjustment (production tasks) Full Job Description An established printing and packaging manufacturer in St. Petersburg is expanding into flexible packaging and is looking for a Laminator / Slitter Operator to join this new operation. This is a unique opportunity to learn a specialized area of packaging manufacturing and get involved at the beginning of a new production operation. Previous flexible packaging experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person. If you have experience operating printing, converting, laminating, slitting, coating, plastics, film, or other manufacturing equipment, we would like to hear from you. We are equally interested in mechanically inclined machine operators who are ready to learn something new and advance their careers. Responsibilities Set up and operate roll-to-roll laminating and slitting equipment Load, handle, and manage rolls of film and flexible materials Monitor web tension, alignment, registration, and roll quality Monitor lamination quality and finished material Set slit widths and make precise machine adjustments according to job specifications Perform job changeovers and equipment adjustments Troubleshoot production and quality issues Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet specifications Perform routine operator maintenance Complete production and quality documentation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Who We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with manufacturing equipment Machine operation or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required Printing, labels, converting, plastics, film, laminating, or slitting experience is a plus Ability to work with measurements and make precise adjustments Strong attention to detail and quality Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Dependable and safety-conscious Interested in learning new technology and developing a specialized skill Why This Opportunity? Pay:
