In 2010, the K Laser Technology Cold Foil Business Unit (CFBU) was formed, and the East Coast Fulfillment Center was established in Sarasota, Florida. This position works with heavy slitting machinery from setup to operation and competition of job and ensures production is running smoothly and safely. This person may work with one to two computer-controlled based machines. Machine operators make sure their machines are well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. Machine Running Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) Loading, webbing, and monitoring material to start a production cycle Controlling and adjusting machine settings (i.e. speed and quality) Maintain activity log of approved and defective units or final products Quality Control Pick out defective product Ensure rolls are slit to correct sizes Return to stock rolls are labeled correctly Watch quality closely to minimize roll waste, off cuts, and prevent sending defective product to the customer Machine Maintenance Ensure machine is in optimal condition with routine maintenance checks Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools Test operation of machines periodically Fix issues that might occur during the shift Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Maintain activity log of performance, problems. and faults Collaborate with Production Manager on issues and needed parts/materials for proper machine maintenance Safety Ensure adherence to safety practices, policies and requirements Promote good housekeeping Report any incident/accident to your direct supervisor immediately Required Skills and Qualifications Able to lift up to 70lbs Strong troubleshooting and mechanical abilities Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Good time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks Prior experience using machinery in a production setting a plus

Monday - Friday 7am-3pm
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
