A Filling Machine Operator operates and maintains machinery which fills containers at a production or manufacturing facility, or a distribution hub. These machines may also seal and weigh the containers.
7am-7:30pm Days 7pm - 7:30am Nights (Hours may differ based on business needs)
Description of Role:
Operator (Combos) must also ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. Functions as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. Operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area. What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent education 1+ years' experience in manufacturing 1+ years' mechanically inclined
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). Ability to read, write and speak
English Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment JDA and ATLAS knowledge or other warehouse management systems experience Experience maintaining accurate inventory records Forklift certification What will be your Key Responsibilities? Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM) Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc. Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks Any ad hoc tasks
