Job Description
Filler Operator (ESL/UHT) Ida Milk LLC | Production | On-site, Hourly Ida Milk LLC is seeking a Filler Operator to help produce safe, high-quality Extended Shelf Life (ESL) and aseptic Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) dairy products. In this role, you'll operate, monitor, and maintain high-speed filling equipment while supporting food safety, product quality, line performance, and accurate production documentation. This position may support any shift. What You'll Do Set up, operate, and monitor filling and related production equipment. Complete startup checks, initial-run testing, and equipment-cleanliness verification. Perform finished-product quality tests and verify compliance with specifications. Maintain accurate production, material-usage, sanitation, and cleaning records. Document deviations and production information using ERP systems. Perform routine operator maintenance and assist with minor equipment repairs. Troubleshoot equipment, production bottlenecks, and quality concerns. Follow SOPs and requirements for PPE, chemical handling, sanitation, confined spaces, and food safety. Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality personnel to resolve issues. Support audits, operator training, and continuous-improvement projects. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED preferred. Food, dairy, or beverage manufacturing experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and machinery-troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate, legible records. Basic math, reading-comprehension, and communication skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English as needed to understand safety instructions, procedures, and production records. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dairy processing, ESL/UHT filling equipment, pumps, mix-proof valves, control systems, or Clean-in-Place systems is a plus. Willingness to learn and follow HACCP, GMP, SQF, PMO, and other food-safety requirements. Starting Wage $21 hourly base wage with $1 differential wage paid for time worked during the hours of 7 pm - 7 am Schedule Rotating 2-2-3 approximately 12 hour shifts from 6:50 - 7:10 set to either dayshift or nightshift ongoing. Physical Requirements This position requires continuous standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout a 12-hour shift. Employees must be able to climb, reach, and repeatedly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available to qualified individuals with disabilities.
