Job Description
Starting Salary:
$19.65($18.65 + $1.00 shift differential)Employment Type:
Hourly Full Time Work Environment:
Monday- Friday 3:00 pm
- 11:00 pm with overtime including extended hours and Saturday as needed.
Job Summary:
The Core Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of a machine that cuts material in preparation for a Moulder.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Setup and changeover the Core Machine for daily operation including adjusting heads, jointing, and machine controls.
- Work efficiently to streamline work processes and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot machine and equipment problems.
- Use calipers to perform periodic quality checks on product.
- Understand grades, sizes, and quality control measures.
- Promote team-work by assisting other crew members with their duties as needed to ensure quality and production targets are met.
- Train others to perform the responsibilities of a Core Machine Operator.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic mechanical abilities
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read digital calipers and tape measure.
- Able to read and understand drawings.
