Job Title:

Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our team. This role involves operating honing or lapping machines, primarily older models, and requires comfort working closely with running machine blades. You will be responsible for standing at a station, inserting small metal parts into the machine, and ensuring high-quality output through meticulous inspection and documentation. Responsibilities Operate honing or lapping machines on 1st and 2nd shift. Stand in one spot to insert small metal parts into machines. Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail. Check parts using no-go gauges and perform basic calculations. Document basic numbers and data accurately. Maintain quality work and timely delivery to meet customer demands. Essential Skills Comfort working with older grinding machines. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Experience with small parts and precision work. Basic understanding of numbers and measurements. No allergies to oil used in machines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior machine operating experience is a plus. Experience in manufacturing or CNC operations is beneficial. CNC schooling or tech schooling is highly advantageous. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facility specializes in finish grinding and honing to meet diverse specifications. Established in 1974, our reputation is built on quality work and timely delivery. The work involves holding extremely close tolerances on a variety of part sizes and material types, requiring comfortable footwear due to standing for long periods. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Arlington Heights, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
