Job Description
Production Mixer
- Ingredient Batch Maker The primary role of the Mixer is responsible for preparing and blending ingredients according to production work orders to support Baking, Cold Extrusion, and Dry Blending operations. This role ensures accuracy in formula preparation by verifying ingredient staging, recording lot numbers, and following pre
- and post-inspection procedures.
Shifts:
12 Hours/Bakery Department Job Responsibilities Initial/date formula and record lot numbers used Visually inspect ingredients Assist operators during mixing and machine operation as needed Use mixing equipment to blend recipe per work order instructions Lift, move and pour ingredients into equipment or containers Follow all pre and post inspection procedures Other job duties as assigned by lead or supervisor Data Entry of recordables Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours per day. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift up-to 60 pounds. Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week including weekends. Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary. Must be highly attentive to detail. Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Must be able to handle hot temperatures per department. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Must be dependable, flexible, and come to work daily and cover for other shifts when needed. Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Reliable and punctual with good time management skills. Necessary Skills Forklift Operation (certification required upon hire) Basic Mathematical skills- measurements Must be able to read, write and speak English Must be at least 18 years old Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and handle materials up to 60 pounds frequently and repepetively. Must be able to bend, stoop and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties. Tolerance for working in environments with exposure to heat, noise, and high amounts of dust. Excited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
