Job Description

Pay:
$25 to $26 per hour (Base starting pay of $25 per hour + $1 per hour shift differential)
Shifts:
Monday to Friday
  • 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday to Friday
  • 4:00PM to 12:30AM Exciting NEW Pay Incentives at RJW! Attendance Incentive
  • Up to $2400 bonus for good attendance. (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details) Referral Bonus

Job Purpose:
The Automated Cartoner Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining cartoning equipment to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of products. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate automated cartoner machines according to production specifications. Load packaging materials (cartons, leaflets, etc.) into the machine. Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or product defects. Perform routine quality checks to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and sealing. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and minimize downtime. Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on equipment. Complete production documentation and logs accurately. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating cartoning or packaging machinery preferred. Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret production instructions and safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with vertical cartoners or similar production/manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP standards. Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others. Regularly work in an production / assembly environment Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly
