Position Summary:
The Caster operates and monitors the machinery used to pour materials into molds to create components. This role is vital for ensuring that products are manufactured to quality specifications and that all safety protocols are followed in a high-temperature environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
includes the following, other duties may be assigned. Wear all necessary PPE including eye protection, hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, chemical resistant sleeves/gloves Attend mandatory safety and production meetings Measure and mix liquid components of polymer systems to fill molds Use low-pressure or high-pressure metering/mixing machines to fill molds Use chemical solvents and primers to strip, prep, and clean molds and finished parts Use industrial ovens to cure parts at elevated temperatures Perform secondary operations with the use of various hand tools, power tools, and machineryIncluding:
drill press, belt sander, rotary tools, sandblast cabinet, and precision knives Inspect finished parts using Durometer gauges, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Provide accurate and timely documentation including production, inspection, job process, and inventory Practice good housekeeping proceduresKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials Safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing setting Operating and maintaining casting equipmentEducation and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years' experience in a Caster roleBenefits Package:
