ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of this position .- Must be willing to work flexible schedules and work in other departments including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to setup machines, conduct basic troubleshooting, loading, films, settings, monitors to assure all is running efficiently.
- Ability to work in a standing position for entire shift including climbing steps and ladders
- Monitors and assists with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.
- Follow packaging schedule, quality control and sanitation procedures concerning, weights, packs, descriptions, Best Buy dates, cleanup and changeovers
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Ability to clean machines and work area properly during and after production runs or changeovers
- Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions.
- Ability to assist in other departments
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor
- Responsible for collaborating with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Follow supervisor's directives and be able to support the shift team as needed.
