Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our first-shift manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery used to manufacture precision metal components. The ideal candidate has previous machine-operating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced metal-stamping environment.

Shift Hours:

Monday-Friday, 5:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor assigned production machinery. Operate punch presses, stamping machines, and other metal-manufacturing equipment. Review work orders, blueprints, specifications, and production instructions. Load raw materials and components into machines. Start machines and monitor production cycles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Adjust machine settings, material feeds, tooling, speeds, and measurements as needed. Inspect finished parts for defects, damage, and dimensional accuracy. Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments. Compare completed parts against blueprints, samples, and customer specifications. Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting. Identify machine malfunctions, tooling problems, and quality concerns. Stop production and notify the supervisor, quality team, or maintenance department when necessary. Complete machine and product changeovers. Separate defective parts and accurately document scrap. Record production quantities, inspection results, downtime, and other required information. Meet established production, quality, and safety standards. Follow all work instructions, standard operating procedures, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform additional production duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous machine-operation experience in a manufacturing environment required. Metal-stamping or punch-press experience is strongly preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and written instructions. Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other inspection tools preferred. Ability to perform basic shop math and understand measurements and tolerances. Strong attention to detail, safety, quality, and productivity. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation. Ability to work overtime when required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift. Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely handle metal parts, tools, and production materials. Ability to work around moving machinery, oils, metal materials, and moderate-to-high noise levels. Work Environment This position is performed in an active metal-manufacturing and stamping facility. Employees must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe safety shoes.

Pay:

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
