Steel Saw OperatorJob SummaryThor Motor Coach is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Steel Saw Operator to join our production team in Wakarusa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining saw equipment used to cut steel and other metal materials to precise specifications. Prior experience working with steel is strongly preferred.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, and operate cold saws, band saws, or other cutting equipment to cut steel bar, tube, pipe, or plate Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut lists to determine correct dimensions, angles, and quantitiesMeasure and mark materials accurately prior to cutting using tape measures, calipers, and other precision toolsInspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications; make adjustments as neededPerform routine maintenance on saw blades and equipment, including changing blades, lubricating machinery, and reporting mechanical issuesMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout proceduresQualificationsPrevious experience operating saws or other cutting equipment in a steel, metal fabrication, or manufacturing environment strongly preferredAbility to read blueprints, work orders, and measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, micrometers)Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyGreat attendancePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, and lift for extended periodsComfortable working around industrial machinery and in a production settingWork EnvironmentThis position operates in a manufacturing/production facility.
