The Opportunity This role is responsible for transporting raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas to support efficient operations and on-time customer deliveries. The Shipping Technician plays a key role in material flow, shipping coordination, inventory staging, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Transport raw materials, WIP, and finished goods throughout the facility using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts. Load and unload rolls and materials from incoming and outgoing trucks. Operate a pallet jack or hand truck to move materials between departments. Move and stage finished loads from sheeting and printing departments to designated storage locations. Coordinate with production teams to prepare and stage materials according to production schedules. Process and ship customer orders while coordinating with transportation carriers. Support material handling, recycling, and baling operations as needed. Operate forklifts safely to transport products and materials. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Support 5S initiatives and maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Follow all company safety policies, food packaging safety requirements, and operational procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED. Ability to read and understand general information, instructions, labels, and shipping documentation. Ability to complete forms and communicate basic information accurately. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to follow established processes and complete tasks in the proper sequence. Ability to work independently with occasional direction and supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification preferred. Strong attention to safety, quality, and organization.
