Job Summary:
Operate and maintain automated perfect binding line, case making and casing- in equipment to production standards and quality
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain automated perfect binder, flatbed cutter, case making and casing- in equipment to production standards and qualityAnalyze and interpret job jackets and print-on-demand sheets to thoroughly understand the needs of the customer; communicating those instructions to co-workersCross train to assist on the softcover perfect binding equipmentConstantly monitor quality of finished product to ensure customer's satisfactionTechnical maintenance of the machinery and trouble shootingMaintain accurate record keeping on TSP timesheets and logbooks; understand and utilize corresponding digital software systemsAccurately communicate to the next shift and other co-workers the status of jobs being processedOperate hand jack to move work throughout department and deliver all completed work to the shipping areaAssist with housekeeping in the bindery areaPerform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, etc.

Willingness to cross train in multiple job functionsOther duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of computer-controlled machinery in a production environmentGood organizational, mechanical and time management skillsExcellent math skills are required (ability to read a ruler and/or caliper, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using numbers, common fractions and decimals), communications and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented within a team environmentAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsSelf-motivated, with strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility and willingness to work overtime as required
High School Diploma or GEDDesired Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience on bindery and/or finishing equipment preferredPhysical RequirementsWork is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicalsSafety toe shoesHearing protectionAbility to lift 40lbs. on a regular basisProlonged periods of standingOvertime as neededWhat's in It for You?
