JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The B2 Team Lead will be responsible for the following core job duties: Perform or be able to perform all duties related to paper towel production including, but not limited to, producing paper logs and packs, replacing rolls on parent stands, use pallet jack, operating paper log saw, operating banders, assembling boxes, packing products, use stretch wrapper to palletize, stacking and labeling boxes. Make adjustments to paper towel machinery according to product specifications, through utilization of monitor and control board. Perform preventive and general maintenance on equipment. Ensure that rolls are ready and in place for all roll changes and assist with roll changes to ensure that they are done as quickly as possible. Stage raw material in preparation for loading machines. Ensure that all paperwork is accurately completed. This includes, but not limited to, production tickets, machine down time logs, and paper towel roll change logs, printed labels, and all documents required for Paper Towel dept. Make equipment repairs and adjustments as necessary in coordination with maintenance personnel. Handle all requisitions of raw materials, process finished goods, maintain accurate production and equipment records. Keep work area and machinery clean and in good working order. Maintain the required production output levels as specified by supervisor. Ensure the smooth and consistent flow of entire department. Report and document all quality issues to Production Manager or Quality Manager. Report and document all equipment issues to Production Manager or Maintenance. Report all personnel issues to Production Department Manager. Inspect products to identify and report possible quality defects or government specification non-conformance. Work and coordinate within the product flow of the department and coordinate all activities with supervisor. Assist with routine inventory checks as needed. Adhere to the Lighthouse safety plan by utilizing safe workplace practices and reporting all injuries, accidents, near misses, emergencies, and safety hazards (guard doors, good housekeeping, etc.). Perform all duties in compliance with the Lighthouse Louisiana ISO Quality system procedures. Conduct all business in a positive, professional manner and maintain a strong teambuilding environment among staff members at all times. Relieve machine operator during breaks and lunch to ensure machine continues operation; run Paper Towel machine daily Fill in for machine operator absent during shift. Work and coordinate within the product flow of the department and coordinate all activities with supervisor. Inform supervisor of any issues that impact department production. Report suggestive methods of improving efficiency, as well as, problems that cause inefficiencies. Maintain a positive relationship with all departmental personnel. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education :
High School / GED.
Special Knowledge:
Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on paper towel machinery. Must be able to read, write, and have basic math skills.
Experience :
2 - 3 years of supervisory or production experience preferred. Experience operating machinery and performing basic level maintenance preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Support Department Manager in sustaining Safety Standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and general professionalism standards
Physical :
Able to perform duties as required by department and function, accommodations may be made if reasonable and feasible, able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Able to travel throughout the facility safely and effectively manage all work responsibilities, breaks, and emergency evacuations, with or without a reasonable accommodation. .
Personality:
Ability to work well in a team environment, dependable, willing to learn, organized, leadership ability.
Working Conditions:
Inside, Outside production environment.
Work Schedule:
Typically 40 hrs., may be more or less depending on business need on evening shift.
