1st Shift Machine Operator

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce parts that meet quality and production standards. This role includes setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring machine performance, measuring finished parts, and making adjustments as needed. The operator ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CNC machines such as mills or lathes Load raw materials and unload finished parts Monitor machine operation and make basic adjustments Read blueprints, work instructions, and specifications Measure parts using gauges, calipers, or micrometers Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow company safety procedures and production schedules

Work Environment:

Manufacturing or machine shop setting Standing for extended periods Exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials Ability to read a tape measure and a ruler
