Position Summary Steel Forgings Inc. (SFI) is a leading manufacturer of custom butt weld fittings that has been servicing the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. SFI is seeking a Cylinder Shop Assistant to perform a variety of duties in our cylinder/pipe department.

Duties and Requirements:

Read a tape measure Use a cutting torch Read a blueprint Stamp a heat code on cylinder Willing to perform other tasks throughout the shop as assigned by the supervisor. Strong work ethical self-starter who will take ownership of assigned duties. Forklift operator skills. A strong, team first attitude. Punctual, and reliable. Willingness to learn and acquire other skills as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Able to lift 50 pounds. Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment. Working in temperature zones that may include hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.
