The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery to produce high-quality components and finished products. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operation, technical drawings, and safety standards, ensuring efficient production while maintaining precision and quality. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, experience with CNC and manual machines, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties Operate and monitor various industrial machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CAM programming equipment to produce parts according to specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to set up machines accurately. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T standards. Conduct routine machine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; prepare raw materials for machining or fabrication processes. Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling adjustments based on job requirements; ensure proper calibration of equipment. Maintain compliance with safety standards in production areas by following established protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Document production activities accurately; interpret shop math for calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and material quantities. Assist in quality control processes by inspecting finished products for defects or deviations from specifications. Support packaging and assembly tasks as needed to meet production deadlines. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC programming is highly desirable. Familiarity with manual fabrication tools including press brakes, stamping presses, and hand tools. Strong understanding of mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Knowledge of shop math, GD&T principles, and precision measurement techniques. Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment with exposure to industrial equipment troubleshooting. Ability to interpret technical specifications and perform basic CAD (Computer-Aided Design) or CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming tasks is advantageous. Prior experience with safety standards in production settings; certification in forklift operation is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on assembly lines or fabrication stations while maintaining high quality standards. Basic knowledge of materials handling procedures and tooling setup processes.
