Job Description

LIO Mobility LLC is an established medical equipment sales and service company dedicated to providing life-changing solutions for individuals with mobility needs. We are looking for a hardworking, independent Ramp Installation Assistant to join our team. In this role, your primary focus will be assembling and installing aluminum modular ramps, Vertical Platform Lifts (VPLs), and curved stairlifts. This is a fast-paced, outdoor-heavy position. Note:
While this is currently a part-time role, there is strong potential to transition into a permanent, full-time position depending on workload, performance, and mutual fit.
Schedule & Compensation:
Commission Based Compensation Monday:
Approx. 4 hours (weekly prep and setup) Tuesday -
Thursday:
Approx. 12-hour shifts on the road for installations Friday -
Sunday:
Typically off, though occasional Friday work may be required based on project timelines
Flexibility:
Hours fluctuate based on installation volume; some weeks may have fewer days, while others may require 3-5 day overnight trips to the Upper Peninsula.
Requirements Education & Licensing:
High School Diploma (or equivalent), valid Driver's License, and reliable transportation to the main shop.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Good hand-eye coordination and general mechanical aptitude (we will train you on our specific lift and ramp systems!).
Tool Proficiency:
Comfortable using standard hand and power tools (sockets, wrenches, drills). All tools for this position are provided.
Interpersonal Skills:
Clear communicator who is organized, polite, and respectful in clients' homes.
Team Mindset:
Willing to lift equipment, maintain clean job sites, and do what it takes to leave a customer's property better than you found it.
Job Type:
Commission Application Question(s): This position relies strictly on a commission-based pay structure with unpredictable weekly hours, including occasional weeks with zero installations. The schedule involves a 4-hour shift on Mondays, 12-hour shifts Tuesday-Thursday, and potential 3-5 day travel trips to the Upper Peninsula.
