Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tube Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team on the weekend day shift, Friday - Sunday, with $5.00/hour shift premium pay. In this role, you will operate advanced tube laser cutting machinery to produce precision-cut metal components, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient workflow. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting will be essential to meet production goals and maintain safety standards. Duties Set up and operate tube laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate calibration and alignment for precise cuts. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine specifications and material requirements. Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. Conduct dimensional measurements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to verify part accuracy. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly, performing minor repairs or coordinating maintenance as needed. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage. Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards in production environments. Follow quality control procedures to ensure parts meet strict specifications and manufacturing standards. Document production activities accurately and complete shift reports for continuous process improvement. Experience Proven experience operating tube laser cutting machinery or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages. Familiarity with blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, shop math, GD&T principles, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Hands-on experience with fabrication tools like press brakes, stamping presses, CNC mills, lathes, and hand tools. Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues efficiently while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience involving materials handling with forklifts is preferred. Solid understanding of safety protocols in manufacturing environments and adherence to quality control procedures.
