BUILD TECHNICIANContractRochester Hills$20-23/hr.
SUMMARY:
The role of a Build Technician is to assist in building complex assemblies for low volume autonomous vehicle production. As a Build Technician you will work closely with the production team to construct intricate components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. This position requires the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and exceptional attention to detail. Strong manual dexterity, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment are also crucial for success in this role.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the production team to assemble complex components for low volume autonomous vehicle productionFollow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of intricate assembliesConduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled componentsTroubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies that may arise during the production processMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Adhere to deadlines and production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure on-time delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years' experience in assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems in robotics, passenger vehicle, or heavy trucking or a related field, preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following assembly instructions and specifications.

General knowledge of interior and exterior vehicle assembly, service, and aftermarket modificationsAbility to view and interpret CAD images; basic PC skills requiredExperience working in a team environment is highly desiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentTechnical diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Certification in robotics or electronics is a plusJourneyman or Apprenticeship training preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand in excess of 6 hoursAbility to move around a production line environmentAble to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, must be able to lift up to fifty pounds INDQT
