Extruder Operator-Plastics Company Overview:

At our compounding facility, we specialize in producing high-quality polymer compounds for various industries. With state-of-the-art technology and a commitment to sustainability, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions and maintaining a safe working environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor single and twin screw extrusion machinery to ensure efficient production of polymer compounds.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain equipment performance.
• Follow production schedules and adjust process parameters as necessary to meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, machine settings, and material usage.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize processes and improve production efficiency.
• Ninety percent of the shift is spent standing/walking around the production machines and in the warehouse
• Ten Percent of the shift is spent operating a forklift At various points throughout the workday the following duties are/may also be required
• Frequent bending, lifting (up to 55 lbs.

) to shoulder height and crouching Frequent pushing/pulling (up to 100 lbs.) Use of shovel and broom Regular climbing of ladders/stairs Use of hand and air tools Use of touchscreen controls

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing is a plus.
• Proven experience operating single and twin screw plastic extrusion equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a compounding facility.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
