Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Polystyrene Extruder Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the polystyrene extrusion machinery to produce high-quality foam products efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure smooth production processes while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor polystyrene extrusion equipment to produce foam sheets or shapes according to specifications Conduct routine inspections of machinery including the press brake machine, CNC lathe, and robotic systems to ensure optimal performance Perform quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurements to verify product conformity Troubleshoot mechanical issues with industrial equipment and implement corrective actions promptly Handle materials safely using hand tools, forklifts, and materials handling equipment to ensure efficient workflow Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and shift reports for traceability and continuous improvement Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for all team members Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating plastics extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding machinery Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control Hands-on experience with CNC machines such as CNC lathe and CNC systems for machining parts or tooling Ability to perform precision measurements in machining and quality control using measurement instruments Skilled in troubleshooting engineering issues related to industrial equipment and robotic systems Familiarity with plastics production processes including plastics extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding Warehouse experience and materials handling skills including forklift operation are a plus Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments and industrial equipment troubleshooting Join our team to help us produce top-tier foam products while advancing your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting!
