$22.50 per hour
Schedule:
Day Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Rotating Schedule Built to Run. Paid to Operate. Looking for Machine Downline Operator jobs in Alexandria where dependable work keeps production moving? In this role, you will operate and monitor downline equipment used in carton manufacturing, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and meets quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Job Duties Feed cardboard laminate into machines to create cartons Operate downline equipment including Cap Applicators, Cardboard Packers, Accumulators, and coders Monitor equipment performance and clear material jams as needed Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate machine operating issues Perform routine machine maintenance and assist mechanics with repairs Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications Monitor raw materials and supplies to support production efficiency Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Complete production paperwork accurately and on time Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Provide break and absence coverage for production team members as needed Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial. Experience Requirements Experience operating manufacturing or production and machine equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. Familiarity with coders is a plus Preferred Qualifications Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Downline Operator. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
