Job Description

Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description This role operates molding, machining, casting, and other manufacturing machines to produce high-quality parts in a fast-paced production environment. You rotate between various machines and processes, handle materials and molds, and ensure each product meets quality and safety standards. The position requires regular heavy lifting, use of hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent production output. Responsibilities Operate molding, machining, casting, and other manufacturing machines according to work orders and production requirements. Rotate between different machines, processes, and workstations as needed to support production demands. Place proper inserts on mold tables to prepare for forming and casting operations. Fill and pack boxes with sand and other materials while working in a warm production environment. Use hand tools and power tools to remove molds and trim flash from parts in line with specifications. Perform visual inspections of parts to identify flaws, defects, or nonconformities and report issues promptly. Stack and palletize finished products in an organized manner for quality control and further processing. Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 100 pounds throughout the workday, using proper lifting techniques. Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials and products, following safety procedures and guidelines. Monitor machine operation closely to maintain quality control and prevent defects or equipment issues. Process products for casting and related operations while working independently and staying on schedule. Follow all safety rules, housekeeping standards, and production procedures to maintain a clean and safe work area. Essential Skills At least 12 months of machine operation experience or related manufacturing experience. Proficiency in operating manufacturing machines such as molding, machining, casting, or similar equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively. The capability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the course of the day. Experience working in general production, manufacturing, assembly, or general labor environments. Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects or flaws in parts. Comfort working in an open production environment that can be warm, especially during summer months. Strong attention to safety and quality while operating machines and handling materials. Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision. Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience reading and working from blueprints or production drawings. Experience with general production, material handling, and machine operating in industrial settings. Familiarity with skid steer operation or similar equipment. Comfortable working with a variety of tools, including hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools. Interest in long-term growth and advancement within a manufacturing environment. Willingness to rotate across multiple departments and learn new processes. Why Work Here? The dress code includes wearing steel-toed boots and safety glasses at all times on the production floor, and shorts or cut-off sleeves are not permitted. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
