Job Summary:
The Machine Operator
  • CNC Milling/Turning Machine is responsible for producing high-quality components by operating CNC and manual machining equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.
This role supports daily production by performing routine machining operations, verifying part accuracy, and maintaining consistent quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and reliable, with the ability to follow work instructions and collaborate effectively with a production team. This position plays an important role in ensuring customer specifications and production goals are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC milling and turning machine centers to produce parts to specification Run manual equipment including mills, drills, lathes, and saws as required Perform plating operations following established procedures and quality standards Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Use precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances Apply shop math to perform accurate measurements and adjustments Monitor machine operation and report maintenance or quality concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Machine shop coursework or related training preferred Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment Ability to read blueprints and perform basic mechanical inspections Strong understanding of shop math and measurement tools Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility with moderate noise levels. The role requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. Employees may be required to wear safety equipment such as eye protection and gloves. The facility is well-lit, organized, and maintained to high safety standards.
