Job Description
Local Leader in Materials Engineering Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator to join to their team. Machine Operators will safely operate more than one major shop tool ((CNC Router, Laser, Water Jet, Sheet Metal Brake, Teflon Press, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, and Forklift) performing basic operations in producing parts, modifications and repairs to existing parts and assemblies.. Utilizes work orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine matching processes, procedures, tooling and fixtures requirements. Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Performs rework as necessary. Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment and stock to prevent loss. Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools Plans and performs moderately complex machine set-ups. Possesses a basic knowledge of trigonometry, which is required to accurately calculate angles used in set-ups and machining. Conforms to departmental safety requirements.
