Planer Operator Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Planer Operator for a local client. Pay $23.00 per hour Job Responsibilities Relieve and fill in for planer department employees during breaks, vacations, sick leave, and other temporary absences Assist in a variety of planer mill operations, including production support, lumber handling, banding, stacking, clean-up, and forklift operation Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety procedures and production standards Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient mill operations Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience operating machinery is preferred Familiarity with lumber grades and quality standards is helpful Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely in a production environment Good depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and eyesight required for operating equipment Ability to perform physical work in an industrial setting Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Requirements Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen Must successfully complete a WorkSTEPS physical evaluation What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
