Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Pultrusion Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining pultrusion equipment used in the production of composite materials. Your expertise will ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality fabrication of pultruded products, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with industrial machinery, and a keen eye for quality control. Night Shift | 12 hours | 6:45 PM-7:00 AM Duties Set up, operate, and monitor pultrusion machines to produce composite profiles according to specifications. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, and auxiliary machinery such as press brake machines and CNC lathes. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and dimensional measurement tools to ensure product conformity. Handle raw materials and finished products safely, utilizing forklifts and materials handling techniques within warehouse environments. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment, collaborating with engineering teams for troubleshooting complex problems. Maintain accurate production records, including measurements, process parameters, and quality control data. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Assist with assembly processes when required, ensuring seamless integration of components into final products. Requirements Proven experience operating pultrusion or plastics extrusion machinery within a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of plastics blow molding, injection molding, and related plastics production processes. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machines, robotic systems, and industrial troubleshooting techniques. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and precision measurement instruments. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and process adjustments accurately. Warehouse experience including materials handling and forklift operation is preferred. Strong understanding of safety protocols, quality inspection procedures, and engineering troubleshooting methods. Basic knowledge of machining processes such as CNC machining and press brake operations is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to work collaboratively across teams.
