Join Our Printing & Manufacturing Team Vericast is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our production team on 2nd and 3rd shifts. In this role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain a variety of printing, packaging, bindery, and manufacturing equipment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, enjoy troubleshooting equipment, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in supporting production operations, maintaining quality standards, and delivering finished products to our customers. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor printing, packaging, bindery, and other manufacturing equipment to meet production, quality, and efficiency goals. Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, machine adjustments, and basic preventive maintenance activities. Monitor product quality throughout the production process and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain specifications. Use precision measuring tools such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment to verify quality standards when applicable. Interpret work instructions, production documents, job specifications, and operating procedures to ensure accurate production output. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow. Replenish materials and supplies to support continuous production operations. Assist with packaging, materials handling, tooling setup, and finishing processes as needed. Maintain accurate production, efficiency, quality, and maintenance records. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and operational performance. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and customer requirements. Perform other duties as assigned within a multi-skilled manufacturing and production environment. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1-3 years of machine operation, manufacturing, production, printing, packaging, bindery, or related experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read and follow written instructions, production documents, and standard operating procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating industrial manufacturing, printing, packaging, bindery, converting, or automated production equipment. Familiarity with precision measuring devices, quality inspections, and process monitoring. Knowledge of programmable equipment, PLC-controlled systems, or automated manufacturing processes. Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Understanding of safety standards and best practices within a manufacturing environment. Decision Making & Problem Solving This role requires independent judgment related to: Machine troubleshooting and corrective actions Production flow and priority decisions Product quality adjustments Equipment maintenance needs Safety and operational efficiency improvements Physical Requirements & Working Conditions This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently bend, twist, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally. Work around moving machinery and production equipment. Wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing protection. Maintain focus and attention to detail in a production environment where safety and quality are critical. Why Vericast?
