Automated Fabric Cutter Ethan Allen Global, Inc. life insurance, 401(k) United States, North Carolina, Maiden Aug 07, 2026 Postion Summary Produces machined fabric cover parts by programming, setting up and operating an automated fabric cutting machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Roll pre-nested fabric roll onto machine and lift into cradle (2 persons perform the lift). Pull up cut pattern on computer system using Plataine software. Use joystick control to line up pattern and then initiate machine to cut. Use a screw driver and allen wrench to change the circular cutting blade (8-10 times per day). As machine cuts and rolls off cut parts, sort the parts and tie them into a bundle to send to sewing. Sometimes use scissors to cut loose parts that are still attached to scrap. Gather scrap and place in scrap tray for recycling. Unload fabric roll from cradle and place onto return conveyor. May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
