Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Marshville, North Carolina to find an experienced and eager Viking Machine Operator to join their growing team! The Viking Machine Operator is responsible for operating the Viking machine efficiently and safely while producing quality pallets that meet company standards. This position requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work independently. The operator may also cover the Lead Operator position when needed. The position requires standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the work shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build quality pallets according to established company specifications. Operate the Viking machine efficiently and safely. Monitor machine operation and maintain consistent production. Perform Lead Operator duties when required. Follow handwritten and verbal instructions accurately. Identify equipment, material, or production issues and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Stand and perform lifting and other physical activities throughout the shift. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent attendance and dependability. Good hand-eye coordination. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Willingness to learn machine operations and Lead Operator responsibilities. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Safety Responsibilities:
Follow all EWPI safety rules and procedures. Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures when required. Report equipment problems, safety concerns, and other issues to the supervisor. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep the work area clean and free of hazards. Work safely and responsibly at all times.
Physical Requirements:
The Viking Machine Operator must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift, bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the work shift. The position involves working around industrial machinery and handling lumber and pallets.

Pay Details:
