A Manufacturing Machine Operator operates machinery used in a manufacturing facility, including a range of machines used for the production or transport of goods.
The Machine Operator Assistant supports daily production by assisting with machine setup, material loading, equipment monitoring, product inspection, and packaging. This position helps maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area while ensuring products meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist machine operators with setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment. Load raw materials and supplies into machines according to production requirements. Remove, inspect, count, and package finished products. Monitor equipment and report unusual noises, malfunctions, defects, or safety concerns. Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet company specifications. Keep machines, tools, and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Help with equipment changeovers, adjustments, and routine maintenance as directed. Follow production schedules, work instructions, and supervisor directions. Accurately complete production, quality, and material-tracking records. Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Move materials and finished products using approved material-handling equipment. Minimize waste by handling materials carefully and reporting production problems promptly. Work cooperatively with machine operators, maintenance staff, quality personnel, and supervisors. Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or machine-operation experience is helpful but not required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic math, measuring, counting, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to use hand tools and basic production equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn machine operations and workplace safety procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable #HSM125
