All qualified candidates will be contacted Job Description We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Extrusion Machine Operators. This role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring press, saw, stretcher, and other production machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, committed to continuous improvement, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor metalworking machines such as saws to cut or shape metal stock into parts or products. Read specifications and notes in work orders and EPICS software. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on saws and stretchers. Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks on equipment such as lubrication levels and cutting blade sharpness. Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications using calipers and other measuring tools. Input data into EPICS, including weight and notes for die variances. Verify non-conformance reports applicable to the saw. Inspect cut lengths and critical dimensions, ensuring high-quality standards. Ensure materials are handled properly to maintain quality and perform quality checks for visual and dimensional requirements. Communicate issues with press leads and maintenance teams, including mechanical downtime and quality concerns. Operate the stretcher, ensuring extrusion pieces are straight, twist-free, and meet quality requirements. Batch pieces correctly and update notes in EPICS. Report equipment malfunctions and comply with quality-related policies and procedures. Skills 1-2 years' experience in an industrial environment. Ability to read blueprints and drawings. Basic computer skills, including MS Windows. Understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry, and numeracy. Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Extrusion experience is an asset. Familiarity with extrusion software like EPICS is an asset. Knowledge of machinery and willingness to learn. Why Work Here?
