Join ENTEK in Henderson, Nevada ENTEK is excited to welcome a Laser Operator to our team in Henderson, Nevada. If you enjoy working with advanced CNC equipment, precision fabrication, and producing high-quality metal components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career. What You'll Do As a Laser Operator , you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CNC laser cutting equipment used in the fabrication of metal components and assemblies. You'll execute production schedules, monitor product quality, and ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. In this role, you will: Operate CNC laser cutting equipment, including Amada and similar laser systems Load and unload raw materials using approved material handling equipment Set up jobs according to production schedules, work instructions, and program requirements Execute laser cutting programs accurately and efficiently Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and production documentation Monitor machine performance and cut quality throughout production runs Inspect finished parts to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards Sort, label, identify, and stage completed parts for downstream operations Perform machine setup verification and material alignment activities Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments and gauges Make basic machine adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency Report program errors, equipment issues, and quality concerns to supervisors and programming personnel Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance activities Maintain accurate production records and documentation Support inventory control and material tracking activities Troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues Collaborate with Laser Programmers on process improvements and production concerns Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives Assist in training new operators and supporting workflow continuity
Requirements:
What We're Looking For We're seeking a dependable manufacturing professional with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality and productivity in a fabrication environment. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum one (1) year of CNC machining, manufacturing, or industrial production experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and manufacturing processes Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to perform quality inspections using measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Laser cutting experience Sheet metal fabrication experience Experience operating Amada or similar CNC laser systems Experience utilizing precision measuring equipment Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience Experience supporting production schedules and manufacturing operations Your Work Schedule This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Schedule may vary based on production requirements and operational needs. Flexibility may be required to support manufacturing operations.
