Duties Supervise and coordinate daily orthodontic assisting activities, ensuring smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care Assist orthodontists with chairside procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance management using advanced dental equipment and tools Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring accurate documentation within EMR systems Educate patients on orthodontic procedures, post-care instructions, and oral hygiene practices to promote optimal treatment outcomes Support the dental reception team by managing patient check-in/out processes and verifying insurance information using patient management software Maintain comprehensive medical documentation including vital signs, medical imaging, dental x-rays, and other clinical records with precision and confidentiality Lead training sessions for new team members on dental terminology, equipment usage, infection control standards, and four-handed dentistry techniques Ensure compliance with all healthcare infection prevention and control policies while maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff Experience Demonstrated expertise in dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards; experience with 3D scanners is a plus Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatment plans and foster a positive clinic environment Leadership qualities with previous experience supervising or mentoring dental assistants preferred Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention protocols and medical documentation standards necessary for maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to transforming smiles through expert orthodontic care!
