Full-time or Seasonal Full-Time (seasonal can lead to permanent)
Salary Range:
$17.87 - $27.50 / hour (depending on experience) Job Summary Installation Helpers assist our Driver/Installers to load and unload trucks, install, break down, and store premium party rental equipment at various event locations across the Reno-Tahoe region. The job entails lifting, walking, and bending to transport equipment including tents, tables, chairs, dance floors, staging, and climate control equipment, as well as fine china, glassware, and linens. Knowledge of commercial tent erection and adapting to changing Reno-Tahoe weather conditions is a strong plus.
Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Safety:
Serves as a model example of work ethic, safety, and professionalism to coworkers; prioritizes "Safety First" to eliminate workplace hazards.
Logistics Support:
Obtains daily route sheets and event site assignments from the Dispatch Office or assigned Driver/Installer prior to departure.
Inventory Tracking:
Verifies loads for installation and pickup; assists in maintaining highly accurate inventory counts from the Reno warehouse to the job site and back.
Safe Loading:
Loads and straps equipment efficiently and safely onto trucks to prevent load shifts, scratches, or transit damage to premium inventory.
Discrepancy Reporting:
Notifies the Driver of any shortages or damages immediately and ensures all items are accurately noted on invoice sheets.
Team Collaboration:
Works closely with drivers and warehouse crews to facilitate efficient loading, prompt delivery, structural installation, and timely event breakdowns.
Brand Representation:
Provides an exceptional, client-focused approach to communication when interacting with venue coordinators, Event Sales Associates, and clients.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensures absolute compliance with applicable OSHA, federal, state, and Nevada safety laws, especially when setting up large structures or operating heavy equipment.
Travel & Schedule Requirements Regional Travel:
Requires daily travel throughout the greater Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe regions to deliver and set up high-end events.
Overnight Travel:
Occasional overnight travel may be required for distant out-of-town venues. Advanced notice will always be provided.
Varying Hours:
The event industry in Northern Nevada is seasonal. While this is a regular 40-hour full-time position, busy seasons will require mandatory, manager-approved overtime (including nights, weekends, and holidays). Slower periods may result in reduced hours.
Cross-Department Support:
To maintain a steady 40-hour work week during slower periods, you may be asked by your manager to support other departments, including the Warehouse, Tent Maintenance, Dish room, or Laundry operations.
General Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
1 year of experience in construction, commercial equipment/furniture moving, heavy logistics, or event setup (Required).
Skills:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and work independently when needed.
Flexibility:
Complete schedule flexibility to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Physical Requirements The ideal candidate must be able to perform all essential physical job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation: Constant (80%+ of the time): Prolonged standing/walking, lifting heavy items (under and over 50 lbs.), pushing/pulling, reaching, verbal communication, and consistent attendance. Frequent (20%-70% of the time): Bending, kneeling, squatting, repetitive motion, and written documentation. Occasional (5%-19% of the time): Climbing stairs, overhead lifting, and exercising independent logistical judgment on-site.
Working Conditions Environment:
Frequent driving with high exposure to varying regional weather environments (extreme summer heat, heavy wind, and Sierra winter snow). Work is heavily split between active event sites (outdoors, public parks, backyards, hotels, and convention centers) and indoor warehouse processing hubs.
