Yard Person / Machine Operator

Yard Person / Machine Operator JB's Sewer & Septic is looking to hire a reliable Yard Person / Machine Operator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working around equipment, materials, trucks, and jobsite supplies. This position will include yard work, equipment operation, loading/unloading materials, helping keep the shop and yard organized, and assisting crews as needed. Responsibilities Operate equipment safely, including: Excavator Skid steer Truck with trailer Load, unload, and move materials around the yard Help keep the shop, yard, tools, and equipment organized Assist with staging materials for upcoming jobs Check equipment, trailers, and materials before they leave the yard Help with deliveries, pickups, and basic jobsite support when needed Perform general labor and maintenance tasks around the yard Follow company safety procedures and communicate with the office/crew leads Requirements Experience operating an excavator and skid steer Ability to safely drive a truck with a trailer Valid driver's license required CDL is a plus, but not required unless needed for specific trucks Must be able to work outdoors in different weather conditions Must be able to lift, carry, and move materials as needed Must be dependable and show up on time Mechanical ability or experience around construction/septic equipment is a plus Must be able to work as part of a team and take direction Ideal Candidate The right person for this job is someone who takes pride in keeping things organized, can safely run equipment, and understands that a clean, prepared yard helps the whole company run smoother. Schedule may vary depending on workload and season.

Pay:

$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
