Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 5:45 AM-3:15 PM | Friday, 5:45 AM-12:00 PM
Off at noon every Friday! Position Summary The Solder Machine Operator
- Team Lead operates electromechanical equipment used in electronic circuit board assembly while providing day-to-day leadership to the Machine Solder cell.
This position leads by example, ensures preventive measures and quality standards are followed, and supports employees in meeting productivity, quality, and on-time delivery goals. Key Responsibilities
Planning & Leadership
Lead the team by setting a positive example and maintaining good attendance.
Review production schedules and prioritize work based on deadlines and job requirements.
Program and operate soldering equipment to meet
IPC-A-610
quality standards.
Monitor production, track progress, and report updates to management.
Coordinate staffing and workflow to keep production on schedule.
Communicate with supervisors and other team leads to meet production goals.
Production & Quality
Assist with machine setup, production startups, and order verification.
Monitor production times and employee productivity.
Identify and recommend ways to improve production and quality.
Document downtime, production issues, and quality concerns.
Identify, label, and quarantine defective products.
Complete job cards, travelers, and other production paperwork accurately.
Monitor rejected boards and identify recurring quality issues.
Perform basic maintenance on ERSA and Wave Solder equipment.
Contact Maintenance when equipment problems cannot be resolved.
Training & Continuous Improvement
Train and support employees on equipment and production procedures.
Ensure employees follow quality and soldering processes.
Identify opportunities to improve production and product quality.
Report process improvement ideas and quality concerns to management.
Housekeeping & Safety
Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe.
Prepare the work area for regular inspections.
