Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator for our weekend shift to join our manufacturing team. As a Machine Operator on the weekend shift, you will be instrumental in maintaining efficient operations, ensuring precision in manufacturing processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC programming tools. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to set up and run machinery accurately. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other handling equipment; assist with materials loading/unloading as needed. Maintain compliance with safety standards in production environments by following proper procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear. Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Assist in fabrication tasks using shop math, CAD software like SolidWorks, and basic machining techniques. Support assembly line operations by preparing components and packaging finished products efficiently. Document production activities accurately and interpret manufacturing instructions for consistent output. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC programming is highly desirable. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, and blueprint reading is essential. Prior shop or factory experience in a manufacturing environment involving fabrication, machining, or assembly is preferred. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments along with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively. Hands-on experience with shop tools including hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments. Understanding of quality control processes including dimensional measurements and GD&T principles. Basic math skills necessary for interpreting technical drawings and performing calculations related to machining tolerances. Ability to work independently on the weekend shift while maintaining high productivity levels.
