Screw Machine Setup / Operator - 2nd Shift (Hamilton, OH 45015)
Pay:
$22-$25/hr.
Shift:
Mon-Thurs, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM | OT possible
Fridays Type:

Requirements:
Offer of employment is contingent upon successfully completing standard onboarding steps (background check, drug test, and ability to meet overtime requirements). Job Summary You'll perform machine setup and operate Acme and Davenport screw machines in a fast‑paced, ISO‑compliant environment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and producing high‑quality parts. You'll join a team that values training, continuous improvement, and strong communication. Roles & Responsibilities Read calipers and CMC prints (to .000 precision) Complete required paperwork (quality forms, daily inspection forms, etc.) Use hand tools: air guns, wrenches, drill press, etc. Operate one or more machines as assigned Understand machine controls (start, stop, E‑stop) Perform setup inspections before releasing jobs to operators Ensure operators understand: Proper machine operation Safety devices and safety rules Product handling Inspection type and frequency Perform first‑piece verification per department requirements Review past issues or quality alerts Participate in corrective action processes Document scrap accurately Complete shop orders, drawings, inspection charts, and move tags Make adjustments to setups; change drills/taps to maintain conformance Train new or temporary employees Assign operators to jobs when needed Use the scheduling board correctly Locate and manage shop order staging shelves Review setup cards and inspection charts Troubleshoot machine problems and variations Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Strong communication; ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

Fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions; geometry/trigonometry helpful
