Job Description

Now hiring Black Oxide Technicians for a manufacturing company in Wadsworth for 2nd shift, 3pm - 11pm. Monday - Friday. Weekly pay at $19 per hour.
Job Duties:
Surface Preparation:
Thoroughly clean and degrease metal parts using alkaline solutions and acid etches to remove contaminants prior to coating.
Bath Operation:
Submerge parts into heated chemical tanks (typically 270°F to 305°F) to convert the metal surface into magnetite.
Rinsing & Sealing:
Manage precise rinse cycles, followed by the application of post-treatments like oil, wax, or lacquer to achieve the final finish and rust protection.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts for coating uniformity, correct thickness, and proper color using precision measuring tools and visual standards.
Equipment Maintenance:
Monitor chemical concentration levels, replenish baths, and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Previous work history in metal finishing, plating, heat treating, or industrial manufacturing.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy machinery parts, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Chemical Knowledge:
Understanding of safe chemical handling, including mixing caustics, neutralizing acids, and disposing of hazardous waste. Attention to
