Job Description

Overview Join Extol's team as a Saw Operator, where your precision and mechanical skills will drive the production of high-quality components. We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Saw Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate manual and computerized saws and machinery to cut, route, and assemble materials according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, maintain equipment, and uphold high-quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, program, adjust, and operate saws and production equipment in assigned areas Measure materials accurately to ensure cuts meet exact specifications Inspect completed workpieces for defects and sort or report non-conforming items Perform routine maintenance on equipment, replace worn components, or submit maintenance requests as needed Record production data including raw materials used, production rates, and material usage Assist with packaging and transporting finished products Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures and proactively identify hazards
Additional Duties:
Receive and interpret work orders, ensuring efficient sequencing and material usage Communicate effectively with production staff and management regarding progress and issues Manage materials to minimize waste and maximize efficiency Monitor inventory levels and report low stock in a timely manner Accurately log scrap and remakes for reporting purposes Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to perform basic shop math calculations Ability to read and use a standard tape measure accurately Previous experience operating saws or production equipment preferred, but not required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and meet production expectations Good communication and teamwork skills
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
